Drawing has been at the centre of my work for many years. I work mainly on portraits, the human figure and city scenes, with a particular interest in observation, structure and accurate representation.

The figure remains my primary subject. I am interested in its underlying form, how it occupies space and how careful drawing can describe it with clarity and precision. Rather than interpreting what I see, I aim to understand and represent it as truthfully as possible.

My background in design continues to inform my sense of composition and organisation, but my work is now devoted entirely to drawing from observation and the discipline of looking closely.

This website brings together a selection of recent work. If you would like to discuss a commission or have an enquiry, please get in touch.
